Welcome to ANAM Creative Arts & Therapies online Hub. Our 6-week pilot program started in March and it was a huge success, so THANK YOU to all who took part. We are in our second 6 week session now which ends mid-June.
This is a new initiative by the The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland South East and was setup through the generous help of Comic Relief.
Last year RTE held comic relief, over 6 million was raised and the Community foundation for Ireland were brought in to share the funds. They asked communities all over Ireland, how they would respond to Covid-19 and best serve the people they had in their community.
So in answer to this we had a look at the therapies and art programs that were used by the day services. Bringing them online for people to access was the next step and so the hub was born!
Within this site you will find programs like Art, Music & Yoga. There is going to be daily and weekly sessions featuring all of these and much more. It will be a combination of Live and recorded sessions. All available to you through the Hub, Youtube Live and Zoom.
Make sure to look at the hub page to see what you need to be setup and ready. To keep things as regular as possible we are welcoming to the hub familiar faces like Mary Prendergast, Jess Rowell & Lisa Murphy, some new people too!
We all need some fun to go along with the sessions, Susan McGill has some great videos she has been doing over the past year. Also stay tuned for some live baking, ingredients ready and all cakes can be delivered to Belmont park 🙂
This site is for everyone, so please share your ideas, or if there is something you’d like to see. It’s all about our community.
Staff, keep an eye out for Wellness Wednesdays where there’ll be articles and tips about health & wellbeing, we’ll have some guest speakers as well as some more features from some of our facilitators onsite.
Anam hub is featured in this months Advocacy Newsletter with great tips on using the site!
